LaToya Spurlock-Fluker is committed to educating students, colleagues, families, and the community through establishing strong connections. Ms. Fluker has been an educator for 12 years. She holds an MA in Arts and Teaching, a MS in Criminal Justice, and a BS in Speech Communication. In addition to serving on various school improvement teams, she has served as a Professional Learning Community chairperson, a teacher mentor, and a volunteer cheer coach. She is a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood.
Jessie Walker is a lifelong resident of Greenwood, MS. His degrees include a Bachelor of Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Elementary Education from Walden University. As a career educator, he has served as an Inclusion Teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels. His personal interests are fishing, traveling, and playing and coaching basketball. He believes in this credo: “Never judge a book by its cover—read it first.”
Markita Smith is a lifelong resident of Greenwood, MS. As part of her professional development, she has earned both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work, as well as certification in Mental Health First Aid. For five years she’s served in the mental health field helping children and adults set and accomplish their goals. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her children and being a confidante for friends and family. Her motto: “You are the author, illustrator, and publisher of your life story, so make it a bestseller!”
Tuluna Vance, from Greenwood, MS, holds a BS in Social Work and an MA in Criminal Justice. Her career has ranged from family and child advocacy, to corrections and probations services, to mental health support for children and adults. She firmly believes in this credo: “Accomplishments comes from ambition and believing in yourself as you help others to help themselves to be accomplished.” In her free time, she can be found cooking, couponing, and dancing.
